Ok, This is my first post in donkey months. I have been so busy, and blogging is obviously the last thing from my mind but I really really want to record down Hannah’s growth. At this time, she’s out with her father on a father-daughter trip to compasspoint so i have better make use of the spare time to do something i like!
How has things been?
Wow, so many word to describe. But honestly, tough and rewarding.
I will never look at another SAHM and think “tai-tai” again. It is really FAR away from being a tai-tai. hahahaha.
The perks are of course: sleeping in late, napping in the afternoon, going out shopping all the time, going out on fun trip on weekdays, meeting friends on weekday afternoon for tea, seeing your child grow up every moment.
The warning would be : no time for anything without the child. a 14 month old clinging to my legs ALL the time.
How’s Hannah going?
Great! She has started talking a lot, in fact, parroting me all the time. It’s pretty funny and finally, I feel the rewards showing itself… she’s talking and doing a lot of stuff by herself. growing up well
She’s also started to walk by herself.
There’s a lot more but I’m not going to write down anymore. I have given up charting milestones because it’s pretty tiring! let all the good memory just stay in our minds!
Well, this is a short post but… I’m happy
All the best to all mommies and daddies out there. I know, it’s not easy!
i’m reading =)
Hi Regina, came across your blog on your baby being considered a “bg baby” by chance. I am facing a similar issue now. MY TMC gynae just told me on Mon that my baby gal is considered big for my size… I am 1.54m and she is est to be 3.2kg at 38 weeks.
Like you, I was asked to consider early inducement or c-section. Feel so confused now cos it was so sudden (my baby’s weight was never an issue and we were told at 36 and 37 weeks that she is “average weight”). I did put on too much weight (have put on 18kg since pregnancy till 38 weeks) though.
Also read many USA/UK based studies where baby’s weight was not considered an accurate predictor for shoulder dystocia. Many of the articles also pushed for natural delivery rather than c-section or inducement.
Wondered if you coudl share why yuo decided to do a c-section in the end? Appreciate any help you can give here.
thanks!
hi i dunno if this is still on time, but i would like to share with you that i would rather go for a natural birth. i did a c section out of fear and mainly leaving the decision to the gynae, but the fact is, I should have gone for a more pro- natural gynae like Dr Paul Tseng instead. your best bet is actually natural birth or c section, forget about induction, even my gynae says that induction increases the risk when delivering big babies. i have did research too and this is true. so for me, i decided to settle on a date that is the latest i would wait for natural labour to take place, which if it did not happen, I will go for a c section. well, i waited and she didn’t want to come out so i went for a c section. all the best. do rememeber that your currrent decision will impact the future births! now i am facing a problem of having to go through another c section if i want a second child. sigh.
By the way, congrats on having such a cute baby! =)
